Mission

The Mission House at Saint James
Our Mission House is the hub of our congregational life. We are currently renovating the Mission House to help us better meet the needs of people on the West End of Alexandria.

Ways to Be Involved
1) Donate financially.
Your donations are an integral source of funding for our projects. Donate here.
2)Donate food and supplies.
Without your donations of food and supplies, so many of our missions would struggle to meet the needs of our neighbors. Together we can do more to help more people.
3) Donate your time.
Volunteers make all of our missions happen. There are so many different ways you can support our work on-site and from wherever you are!

RApid Mobilization Protocol for Community Assistance
Saint James can quickly RAMP up assistance in community crises, providing neighbors with food and other assistance as needed.

Food Pantry
Saint James hosts the West End Food Pantry. The pantry is a part of Hunger Free Alexandria and is a partnership between five Alexandria congregations, led by pantry founder Church of the Resurrection just down the road. Currently, the pantry serves more than 200 people each week in on the west end of Alexandria every Monday evening. The pantry is operational even during our Mission House renovations! You can be a part of this amazing and vital mission by emailing the pantry volunteer coordinator. We are always in need of volunteers who speak Pashto and Dari!
